Crypto exchanges I use(d)
1. CoinBase
My 1st and very user friendly platform, clear UI. They listed a lot of different and promising cryptos since 2019, so a lot of to choose from.
Easy if you want to change/update your account details.
Do I recommend it for a long term investment? YES
=======
2. Revolut
Probably the easiest way to buy cryptocurrencies is using Revolut, you just Buy & Sell. No other skills needed. Still, don’t forget Revolut is a middle man between you and crypto exchange platform, so you do not actually get crypto to send/receive. They do hold it for you.
Do I recommend it for a long term investment? YES

3. Kriptomat
I use to love this platform, but not for long. User friendly UI, improved a lot since 2019.
They claim ”we are security obsessed”. Good to know they do take care of platform’s safety, but some things are too much. It was much easier to close the account than change my user email. So I closed my account. That’s really sad.
And, returning customers are not welcome (they call it account duplication, but that could only be if you try open a 2nd account while 1st one is still up and running). They confuse them selves.
I believe, their obsession and not accurate (legal) English wording stopping them from gaining more customers.
Do I recommend it for a long term investment? NO

4. BitPanda
Europe’s biggest crypto exchange platform and very user friendly.
Easy top ups & withdrawals in fiat and cryptos. In last 6 months they are having wrong portfolio balance display issues. It was reported, but not solved yet. I hope they take care about safety better than the balance display.
Do I recommend it for a long term investment? YES

5. P2PB2B
Confusing UI, not suitable for newbies.
Do I recommend it for a long term investment? NO

6. CEX IO
I used it for a few months only (in 2019). UK registered, Ukrainian founders. They even could not a UK flag right next to English language. Did not look very reliable platform to be honest. Not very newbie friendly too.
Noticed their main page UI improvements. Not keep to re-open the account.
Do I recommend it for a long term investment? NO

7. Wirex
It looked promising for a while. Technical part (web + app) needs improvements. Customer support struggling to cope with customer requests, so it may take a few weeks for them to come back to you. After 6 months limitation of not being able to top up/withdraw fiat & crypto, closed my account.
Do I recommend it for a long term investment? NO

8. Swissquote
Switzerland based and reliable. It may take a while to open an account as video call is needed, but for me was worth it. You get Swiss aBanking IBAN along with your crypto exchange account. Pay attention what type of account you need first. Yes, it could be a bit confusing.
When register, use my Recommendation Number si2uz2 and you’ll get a discount
Do I recommend it for a long term investment? YES

9. Binance
The app it self is easy to use, suitable for newbies. The website is overloaded with services and other stuff, I think it’s too much, too confusing.
Could be irritating constant app log out.
Still, it’s easy if you want to change/update your account details.
Do I recommend it for a long term investment? YES
=======
10. Bittrex
Confusing UI, looks and feels like unfinished product, not suitable for newbies.
Do I recommend it for a long term investment? NO
=======
11. SpectroCoin
Lithuanian founders. Suitable for newbies, but app and UI needs some technical improvements. You can esily see your portfolio through the app, but not much you can do. Full functionality is accessible through the browser.
Do I recommend it for a long term investment? Not sure yet, but looks promising
=======
12. Bitvavo
Based in Netherlands. Opened my account in Feb 2022. Simple UI (a bit too bright for me), but very newbie friendly environment and functionality. They need to improve the mobile app as sometimes it’s not possible to log-in. In that case, you still can access your account through the browser.
Do I recommend it for a long term investment? Not sure yet, but looks promising

Altcoin Season 2022
Altcoin Season is a time in the crypto market when top Altcoins outperforming Bitcoin. It happens (roughly) once in 4 years and Bitcoin dominance in the market drops below 40%. Previous (proper) Altcoin Season was Dec 2017 – Jan 2018.

DOs
Do your research on tokens and projects you are interested in.
DON’Ts
NEVER send your crypto where it says ”send it to us and we’ll send it back 5x times (or so)”. It’s a SCAM.
